The ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements apply to achieving and maintaining proficiency in all languages used in radiotelephony communications.
However, English is a widely used language in global aviation.
In line with ICAO Doc 9835, ICAO Circular 323, and relevant Civil Aviation Requirements issued by DGCA, India, Aviacons conducts Aviation English Language Proficiency (AELP) Training & Testing for Ab-Initio and Airline Pilots from India and other parts of the world.
Aviacons collaborated with Test of English for Aviation (TEA Ltd, a unit of MayFlower College, UK) to become the first English Language Proficiency Test Centre in India to be approved by UKCAA. The ELP Certificate issued by Aviacons is accepted in over 75 countries.
In the year 2021, we also partnered with Test of English for Aeronautical Communication (TEAC, promoted by Lenguax UK). Pilots operating under EASA approval or aspiring to convert their professional pilot licence to EASA, can opt for this test.
Apart from ELP Test for Pilots in India, We also offer AELP Training to student pilots for their ELP endorsement on their CPL.
The 10-day online AELP Training program is approved by DGCA and help students to understand the Language descriptors and develop linguistic skills in the Aviation context.
