Certificate of Proficiency – Radio Telephony Restricted (Airplane) COP-RTR (A) is a mandatory Licence to be obtained by all students undergoing Commercial Pilot Licence Training Course in India.
All students must clear the Radio Telephone Restricted to Aero mobile (RTR-A) Examination conducted by Wireless Planning Wing (WPC), Ministry of Communications, New Delhi.
The exam for RTR (A) licence is to assess the effective communication skills using radio telephony apparatus fitted in aircraft and Air Traffic Service Units. This assessment is conducted to evaluate efficiency in communicating with ATC and procedures to be followed at time of emergency, distress, or urgency situation as well as routine communications with ATCs and other aircraft.

Course Objectives

COP RTR (A) training classes will be conducted for 02 weeks (Monday to Friday), and the classes are held from 09:00 till 16:00 hrs.
